"Everything perfect, hosts could not have done enough for us. Room was very clean, cosy and comfortable." Gemma, UK
We're Gayle and Michael, we've lived in Oswestry for over 20 years and we love the place! During 2018 we spent a lot of time staying in B&B's, dropping our children off at university, visiting relatives etc, and the journey home always seemed to involve a night away.
The more B&B's we stayed in, the more annoying similarities we found. Why so much plastic waste? Why those tiny single use shampoo bottles that you can never empty fully? Why such poor breakfast choices? Why no herbal tea in the hospitality tray? Why isn't the mattress comfier?
Later that year we took part in the Oswestry Round Challenge, a 33 mile walk to be completed in a day. Walking along the canal in the late afternoon was a struggle, so to keep our spirits up we started talking about how we would run a B&B and the changes we would make.
A few months later our children had left home and we opened as Nant Gloyw B&B.
In our first year we had guests from as far away as Moscow and Chicago, Hong Kong and Berlin, Paris and Melbourne. We hope you'll be one of our next guests.

Staying with us
From walkers to bikers, we'll go the extra mile.
Nant Gloyw offers 2 beautiful en-suite bedrooms. We're situated in Oswestry, Shropshire, just a 10 minute walk from the town centre. We'll do whatever it takes to make your stay with us more enjoyable.

What sets us apart
We built sustainability into Nant Gloyw from the start. There's no single use plastics or fiddly UHT milk containers.
Our solar panels provide the electricity and solar thermals heat the water for your shower. The breakfast compotes and jams come from our (and next door's!) fruit trees.
A generous hospitality tray has plenty of different teas and coffees, biscuits, fresh milk (plant milk no problem) and PROPER SIZED MUGS AND A TEAPOT!
We're a vegetarian home and provide a generous breakfast. Our own chickens provide the eggs, and we can cater for vegan and gluten free diets, just let us know in advance.
We offer a free collection and drop off service for guests walking Offas Dyke. We can collect from Trefonen or Oswestry Racecourse. We can even dry out your wet gear and sort you a packed lunch for the next day. Please let us know when booking if you require these services.
